KIM KARDASHIAN has gone back to being blonde for her post-baby makeover, Hollywood celebrity gossip reports.

Kim Kardashian finally got what she wanted!

The reality star has taken a short break from being a full-time mother to her and Kanye West‘s first child, a daughter named North, and had some “me time” recently by giving herself a pseudo makeover, specifically by dying her hair again.

The “new” color is not a surprise. She’s now blonde with dark roots-a look that she pulled off a little over a year ago and a couple more times in the past few years.

Kardashian just showed off her new ‘do at a Labor Day party this past week but according to her hairstylist, George Papanikolas, the “big change” was a long time coming.

Papanikolas revealed that they started off by going through pictures for color inspiration. He told Us Weekly:

“[It’s] the best way to communicate hair color. That way we were able to come to an agreement of a blonde that is realistic considering her natural hair color, and would be the most flattering to her skin tone.”

An intensive, five-hour hair coloring session ensued afterwards. Papanikolas shared:

“First a series of fine highlights at the roots, then the second was a heavy application at the mid-shaft and ends. In between and after the highlights I used Joico’s K-Pak Revitalux to keep it strong enough for a second round of highlights.”

For those brunettes who want to get Kim‘s new look, her stylist shares that “it’s very important to leave some depth at the root, otherwise they can look washed out,” adding:

“It’s also very important that your hair be in very good condition before attempting to do a drastic color change from dark to light, as it’s very stressful to your hair.”
