Livia Firth created the Green Carpet Challenge in 2009, lead by a team specializing in sustainable fashion through supply chain innovation and technology.
Tonight, the Italian film producer and her delicious husband,
Mr. Darcy Academy Award winner Colin Firth attended the first ever Green Carpet Challenge at the Global Fund event, held at Apsley House in London. The goal is to raise funds for the fight against AIDs, tuberculosis and malaria.
Beckham, Roland Mouret and Christoper Kane were tapped to create ethically-made evening gowns and cocktail dresses that adhere to GCC’s standards. Following tonight’s event, the pieces are being sold exclusively on Net-A-Porter, with 20% of proceeds going to RED, and 100% of revenue from RED going to the Global Fund, according to British Vogue.
The Firths were joined by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, David and Victoria Beckham, Downton Abbey‘s Elizabeth McGovern and Laura Carmichael, Sienna Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch.
