Lamar Odom's Dad Says He's Not Missing

Lamar Odom‘s father is coming to his son’s defense amid rumors his marriage is falling apart over his supposed drug abuse.

And reports that the basketball pro has gone missing are just simply not true.

“I spoke with my son last night,” Joe Odom told Celebuzz. “I know where he is at, he’s around.”

Any news to the contrary he adds is “a bunch of bulls**t.”

“I told him I want him to resume his basketball career and that this s**t is not good, it’s a bad look,” he said.

“I love my son.”

Over the weekend news surfaced that no one had seen Lamar for three days, including his wife Khloe Kardashian and her family.

“I heard the reports, I’m his father,” he said when asked about reports that the former L.A. Clippers star’s four-year marriage is crumbling due to his supposed drug addiction.

The constant negative attention is a reason his son has kept a lower profile, he says.

“They’re always around and it’s probably depressing him, the poor fellow. It’s terrible,” said Joe.

“That’s why I don’t want to talk to anybody because of this negative s**t… because of the bulls**t they’re saying.

“It’s probably making him depressed, that’s maybe one reason.”

Joe specifically pointed out the recent run-in with paps inside Lamar’s gated community when he allegedly destroyed a paparazzo’s camera (which the D.A. has decided not to prosecute.)

Simon Cowell’s Ex Fiancee ‘Furious’ Over Baby Mama Drama

Simon Cowell and ex Mezhgan Hussainy

Simon Cowell‘s bringing a whole new meaning to The X Factor, only this time it’s his ‘ex’ factor.

Despite reports that Cowell’s former fiance Mezhgan Hussainy is “happy” for the dad-to-be, it couldn’t be farther from the truth, a source tells Celebuzz.

“She’s furious, humiliated and angry, but she can’t do anything because she put her career on back burner and he supports her financially and emotionally,” said a source close to the makeup artist.

“They really are best friends.”

The one-time couple is so close that since they ended their engagement in early 2012, the music mogul has not only gifted her a stunning $8 million Beverly Hills mansion, but commissioned her skills to decorate his three 90210 homes, while being the one constant by his side at the Television Critics Association panel in Los Angeles last week when he addressed reports of his sudden and impending fatherhood.

Although on the outside she may look strong, inside Hussainy is hurting, added the source.

“She trusted him with everything so she can’t do anything about it. His PR and security teams control everything. She feels trapped.

“It’s been a rude awakening.”

Since news broke last week that the 53-year-old perpetual bachelor is expecting his first child with New York socialite Lauren Silverman, 36, Hussainy has been turning to family and friends to vent.

“She can’t talk about her true feelings in public because she doesn’t want to betray him just because he betrayed her.

“She feels betrayed that he didn’t have the sense to use protection with a woman their circle of friends thought was a gold-digger,” said the source.

According to the insider, Cowell, Silverman and Hussainy had been chummy even when the former American Idol judge was engaged, which was a red flag for Hussainy.

“She’s upset because she saw how aggressive Lauren was even when they were engaged,’ said the source. “And Simon would also say the right thing to make it better.”

Right now, though, she’s still standing by her (former) man, who has kept mum on the baby front: “Unfortunately at this moment I have to keep it private,” he told press at the TCAs.

“There are a lot of things I will eventually clear up when the time is right, but I really have to be sensitive because there’s a lot of people’s feelings involved here,” Cowell later told PEOPLE.

So the drama continues.

Cory Monteith’s Father On ‘Glee’s’ Tribute Episode: ‘I Think It’s The Right Way’

Cory Monteith Tribute episode, father speaks

As news made headlines this week that Cory Monteith‘s farewell on Glee will pay tribute to the beloved actor in a true-to-life storyline, no one is more pleased with the message than his family.

“I think it’s the right way,” Cory’s father Joe Monteith told Celebuzz.

“I had been unaware of Cory’s heroin use. I didn’t really know he was on any heavy drugs like that.”

Earlier this week FOX chairman Kevin Reilly revealed that the third episode of the hit show to air in September will directly address Finn Hudson’s drug abuse and departure.

“I do like they’ll be addressing the drug abuse,” added Joe. “It’s important to address this for all the young people out there and for parents to keep an eye out and watch your kids. It’s up to you to go and get aware and learn about it and watch out for it.”

Since Cory’s sudden passing nearly three weeks ago, Joe has received 3,000 letters from fans about how much his son meant to them.

“I haven’t gone through all of it, but I’ve cried about it and about how much he’s going to be missed and what an impact he had,” said Joe.

“I want to watch the show. By all means, I definitely want to sit down and watch because I know how much his cast loves him.

“I don’t know if it will [bring closure], but maybe a little.”

The episode will also feature drug awareness PSA’s with the cast and creator Ryan Murphy that will “speak directly with the audience.”

Cory’s father has a few last words he hopes help parents whose children may be struggling with drug addiction.

“Be aware and take care and keep an eye in your children,” he said. “Don’t let them out of your sight and get yourself drug wise so you can look out for the points that they show that you should be able to pick up if they’re using any drugs.”
