Obviously, Kate Middleton did not have a hard time shedding the weight after welcoming her baby in July, because In just a few short weeks following the birth, the Duchess of Cambridge was already quite slim and appeared to be back to pre-pregnancy figure.

Fast forward to today, less than three months later, and she looks as if she never even had a child.

On Friday, Prince William‘s beautiful wife showed off her amazing post-baby body during a volleyball match for the SportsAid Athlete Workshop at the Copper Box in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

We also caught a glimpse of her ridiculously flat stomach, which briefly came into view as she jumped around on the volleyball court.

‘The Duchess Diary:’ Royal Baby Names And The Pride Of Great Britain

29 Apr

We are besides ourselves – beside ourselves, I tell you – waiting for Baby Cambridge to pop into the world.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray made Great Britain burst with pride (a hard feat, getting the Brits to show emotion) by winning his first Wimbledon title, and “Union Jack Man” Terry Hutt grabbed a prime seat outside St. Mary’s Hospital this week.

What say you on royal baby names, friends? I’m thinking Alexandra for a girl, and George for a boy.

It’s a great time to be a complete and utter Anglophile.

The Evolution Of Kate Middleton’s Bouncy Hair

8 Nov

When the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of St. Mary’s Lindo Wing on July 23rd, all eyes went immediately her to famous locks. How does a woman who gave birth but 24 hours ago emerge looking like this?

Even before the greatest hospital exit of 2013, the Duchess was the object of envy for women the world over. Famous for her “Chelsea Blow Dry,” and fallout-proof curls, Catherine’s hair looked fabulous even before she became HRH, The Duchess of Cambridge.

Get the scoop on Catherine’s ombre hair

In the past, Catherine frequented the Richard Ward salon in Chelsea, but she was spotted recently at Mayfair’s Rossano Ferretti Hair Spa. The Duchess also gets home blowouts by stylist Amanda Cook Tucker, who accompanied Catherine on her Southeast Asia trip in September.

Queen Elizabeth Hopes the Royal Baby Arrives Before Her Vacation

26 Oct

First it was Camilla hinting that the royal baby will be here by the end of the week. Now, it’s Queen Elizabeth who’s gently nudging mum-to-be Kate, who is expected to give birth any day now.

The 87-year-old monarch was talking to children in Cumbria in northern England, when she was asked if she hopes the royal baby will be a boy or a girl. “I don’t think I mind,” she said, before telling the children, “I would very much like it to arrive. I’m going on holiday. No sign yet.” (The Queen heads to her Balmoral estate in the Scottish highlands at the end of next week.)

But while her family – and the rest of the world, it seems – hang on for baby news, the couple at the heart of what’s been dubbed the #GreatKateWait on Twitter try to remain cool and calm as temperatures rise amid a London heat wave.

Kate is understandably nervous – “tentative,” a source tells PEOPLE – about giving birth.

Royal Baby Queen Elizabeth Kate Middleton Delivers

She and Prince William, who’s taken time off work as a helicopter rescue pilot, are spending these final days at Kate’s parents’ home in Bucklebury, according to a source, as well as at Nottingham Cottage in the Kensington Palace compound in London.

“It’s hot wherever you are – it’s the same if you’re in Bucklebury or London,” the source says.

“It’s not tiny,” the source adds of the couple’s two-bedroom digs in London, and there’s plenty of space to pass the time before the couple head to St. Mary’s hospital in nearby Paddington when the time comes.

Until then, the waiting game continues.

Kate Middleton And Princess Diana: Bringing Home Baby In Polka Dot Dresses

3 Oct

When the Duchess of Cambridge came out of the Lindo wing today, everyone noticed how lovely and content she appeared. What we failed to notice at first glance was that Catherine had donned a darling blue polka dot dress for the occasion.

The Jenny Packham design was both a nod to her son’s birth and – perhaps – a nice tribute to her the Princess of Wales, who wore a green polka dot dress for her Lindo wing departure in June 1982.

Moment of Then: Prince William’s Official Public Debut

2 Oct

Yesterday, the world experienced yet another day of Royal Baby fever when Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped outside St. Mary’s Hospital in London to officially introduce their newborn son to the public.

Watching the images unfold on television, it was hard not to recall the day when Prince Charles and Princess Diana did the exact same thing for a then-little William, right down to the polka-dot dress that Diana wore for the occasion. The world was just as captivated by the Royal Family then as they were just a couple of days ago, making it clear that the traditions and sheer spectacle of it all isn’t something that will likely die down anytime soon.

Whether that is a good or a bad thing is a whole other topic. But for little Baby Cambridge, at least, his story has officially begun, much like his father’s did on June 22, 1982.

Get To Know Your Celebrity Blabbermouth: Katrina Darling

1 Sep

Katrina Darling Celeb Blabbermouth

With world political leaders and celebs like President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron and famous Brits Harry Styles and Ellie Goulding sending their congrats to Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William on the birth of week-old baby boy, Prince George, it only seems fitting Katrina Darling should, too.

Wait, Katrina, who?

Well, for (the many) who’ve never heard of her, Katrina is the Duchess’s distant cousin, who hopped on the 15 minutes bandwagon just before her commoner-turned-princess relative became betrothed to Wills in 2011.

The kicker: She’s never even met her cuz, but still feels she needs to share some sage advice to their newborn prince: “I wish both mother and baby a safe journey and congratulate them on the next big adventure and new challenges in their lives,” she told Page Six. “And to my fellow Cancerian Prince, I say spend your life exploring every inch of it, learn all there is to know, explore yourself and find out who you are!”

Those wise words come from experience, considering the British-born 22-year-old is known for exploring her wild side as a unroyal-like raunchy burlesque dancer (but dons crown pasties to cover up), and continues to do her family name proud by taking it all off (gasp!) for Playboy.

But when we say distant, the royal relationship is pretty f-a-r – turns out Kate and Katrina are… take a deep breath… second cousins, once removed, with her grandmother Jane Darling being the sister of the Duchess’s great-grandfather Thomas Harrison (now that’s a mouthful.)

And this isn’t the first time she’s spoken up about her semi-royal connection. Katrina’s cashed in on her fetish modeling, given her take on Prince Harry‘s nude Las Vegas pics and admitted that it would be “awkward to meet Kate” (um, you think!?)

Well, if Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog can offer their well wishes on the special royal delivery, Katrina’s in good company.

Pregnant Kate Bikini Photos Are Riling the Royals

8 Apr

Another royal photo flap is brewing.

This time it’s over pictures of a pregnant Kate in a bikini.

The Duchess of Cambridge was vacationing with husband Prince William and her family on the private island of Mustique last week when the long-lens shots were taken.

“We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas,” a spokesman for the couple at St. James’s Palace tells PEOPLE. “This is a clear breach of the couple’s right to privacy.”

The photos – Kate and William walking arm-in-arm on the beach in their swimwear as well as the bikini-clad duchess frolicking in the surf – are published in Chi magazine this week as well as expected in a U.S. tabloid. Six months ago, Chi printed photos of Kate sunbathing topless in France while the couple were on their tour of South East Asia. French magazine Closer also ran those images.
