Aaron Paul Keeps Breaking Hearts At The Emmy Awards

19 Jul

Oh man, Jesse Pinkman sure cleans up nicely, doesn’t he?

After seeing his horrific beaten face on last week’s episode of Breaking Bad, it’s SOOO good to see Aaron Paul‘s clean-shaven and beautiful smile at the Emmy Awards Sunday night.

Wearing a sharp navy suit with a black lapel and bowtie, Aaron and his gorgeous blushing bride, Lauren Parsekian, wearing a sleeveless champagne gown, looked like the evening’s Prom King and Queen.

Tonight, Aaron could be adding a third Emmy to his mantle for his role as Jesse, but he’s already given his blessing to his co-star Jonathan Banks who he’s up against in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama category.

We don’t know who we want to win! It’s a horrible game of Sophie’s Choice! Jesse vs. Mike! GAAAHH!

We only have two episodes left so grab a case of Schraderbrau, sit back, and enjoy the ride.

And, here’s a HUGE congrats to the entire BB cast and crew!

‘SNL’ Recap: Sorry Tina Fey, Aaron Paul is All We Can Talk About from the Season 39 Opener

19 Mar

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 39th season with two very familiar faces: host Tina Fey. And the wonderful Aaron Paul.

During Saturday’s cold open, which began with Jay Pharoah as President Barack Obama talking to the public about Obamacare, a friend from New Mexico dropped by to share his story.

Enter Jesse Pinkman.

“I had this friend and he got sick. Like cancer sick. But because it wasn’t Obamacare, he couldn’t afford treatments,” Paul said in full Jesse Pinkman mode (beanie included).

Added Pharoah as Obama, “And keep in mind this was a teacher with a family.”

“So he did what any of us would’ve done,” Paul continued. “He started cooking meth.” (Watch the rest of the cold open, above. Don’t worry, how Breaking Bad ends is still a mystery… until Sunday night).

Paul made two other appearances – one for an e-Meth (think Leonardo DiCaprio‘s favorite e-cigarettes) commercial…

… and one on “Weekend Update” with Bobby Moynihan‘s Drunk Uncle.

As for Tina Fey, the SNL vet returned to very familiar territory, especially when she visited the “Weekend Update” set. “You see this man here? This man don’t own you,” Fey told Seth Meyers‘ new co-anchor Cecily Strong. “You do you. You in charge. Say it.”

Fey’s other gems included a bit in “the first used car ad” with season 39 newcomer Mike O’Brien and a wonderful parody of Girls, playing Hannah’s new roommate Blerta.

Arcade Fire served as musical guests, playing “Reflektor” and “Afterlife” from the band’s upcoming fourth album. The group also appeared in an adorable “New Cast Member or Arcade Fire” sketch with SNL newbies.

Which brings us back to the beginning: during Fey’s opening monologue, the SNLalum gave a special welcome to the show’s newest members.

After the show, NBC aired a 30-minute Arcade Fire concert special, Here Comes the Night Time, featuring appearances from Bono, James Franco, Rainn Wilson, Aziz Ansari and others.

Miley Cyrus will be next week’s musical guest and host.

And Now, A ‘Breaking Bad’ Spoiler, Courtesy of Aaron Paul

5 Mar

Bless your heart, Aaron Paul.

On Friday, the Breaking Bad star did the unthinkable – he shared a spoiler from the show’s current, final season.

OK he posted a cute shirtless photo of himself, Bryan Cranston and the wonderful Anna Gunn (not shirtless).

While it’s highly unlikely that this is how the show will end, Paul’s photo is just another reminder of how much we love these people and how much we’ll miss Breaking Bad when it signs off for good later this month.

Serious talk: some two months ago, Paul talked to the folks at Screen Rant about the show coming to an end:

“Before I read the final eight episodes, the final eight hours of the show, I was thinking to myself ‘this is so tragic, I can’t believe this show is ending.’ I didn’t want it to end but after knowing how the final eight hours play out, I couldn’t be happier with the way it ended and hopefully you all agree,” I feel pretty confident that you will.”

He also said, “You guys are gonna sh*t your pants.”

Breaking Bad, with three episodes to go, wraps Sept. 29.

5 Actors Who Could Play Robin In Batman Vs. Superman Movie

17 Nov

Robin

With so much speculation surrounding just exactly what will be included in the new Batman Vs. Superman movie, isn’t it about time, too, that we got a decent interpretation of the Boy Wonder? Since Burt Ward’s spectacularly camp take on the character in the ’60s TV show, and Chris O’Donnell’s just all-out wrong version in the ’90s Joel Schumacher films, the closest we have had so far is a mere tease at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s city cop John Blake.

After the character’s creation in 1940, only a handful of live-action films have featured Robin. Though many fans of the DC universe hold hostile views towards the character, there is a large following for not just Robin but the whole Bat-Family in general. However, in the distaste that many fans hold for the Boy Wonder, they miss out on a lot of what he offers.

With countless characters taking up the mantle, it would also be good to finally see a Robin who isn’t Dick Grayson. Matt Damon has already publicly stated he won’t play Robin (duh!), so let’s see who else could work cloaked in all that red and black.

Here are 5 actors who I believe would be capable of donning the mask and giving us a Robin we deserve…

Aaron Paul + James Bond + Radiohead = YEAH BITCH!!!

9 Oct

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Aaron Paul any more than we already do – the actor goes and surprises us again.

Paul shared a picture of himself with arguably the Bond in the greatest James Bond movie ever that spawned the greatest N64 James Bond video game ever – Pierce Brosnan while the two were at a Radiohead concert.

Here’s what he tweeted;

“Watching Radiohead in london with James Bond himself!! Love you Pierce. Yeah bitch!! Yeah Science!!”

Wow, this could possibly be one of the greatest tweets of the year. We have to absorb this information and get back to all of y’all.

But things are looking good – BITCH!!!
