Jennifer Lawrence Says She’s ‘Kind of Going Through a Meltdown’ Over Being Famous

8 Aug

Jennifer Lawrence graces the coveted September cover of Vogue, and the accompanying interview is typically Jennifer Lawrence. It’s filled with run-offs and asides and more quirks than Silver Linings Playbook, for which she won an Oscar in February.

But midway through the article, the interview takes a bit of a serious, somewhat surprising, turn as the 23-year-old explains how she’s struggling with her new-found level of fame.

“I teeter on seeming ungrateful when I talk about this,” she says after a restaurant patron blatantly takes a photo of her, “but I’m kind of going through a meltdown about it lately. All of a sudden the entire world feels entitled to know everything about me, including what I’m doing on my weekends when I’m spending time with my nephew. And I don’t have the right to say, ‘I’m with my family.'”

She continues:

If I were just your average 23-year-old girl, and I called the police to say that there were strange men sleeping on my lawn and following me to Starbucks, they would leap into action. But because I am a famous person, well, sorry, ma’am, there’s nothing we can do. It makes no sense … I am just not OK with it. It’s as simple as that. I am just a normal girl and a human being, and I haven’t been in this long enough to feel like this is my new normal. I’m not going to find peace with it.

For a brief moment, you get that panicky feeling inside of you, like, “Oh God, Katniss is totally six months away from throwing bongs out of her apartment window.”

But by page six, the article – and Lawrence – return to its roots.

Suddenly, her assistant and best friend of four years, Justine, walks in. She’s just come back from having lunch with an ex-boyfriend, and they parse the meaning of every exchange. Then Lawrence gives her friend the once-over and says, “P.S. Perfect outfit. And your butt looks great in that skirt.”

The talented Jennifer Lawrence will have a tiny role in the upcoming sequel to Dumb and Dumber.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actress will play a younger version of Kathleen Turner‘s character in Dumb and Dumber To.

Lawrence, who’s been shooting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in Atlanta, Ga., recently hopped over to the nearby Dumb and Dumber To set to film her cameo, THR reports.

The sequel will be set 20 years after Lloyd (Jim Carrey) and Harry’s(Jeff Daniels) last adventure in 1994’s Dumb and Dumber. Laurie Holden, Rob Riggle and Rachel Melvin will also star in the film.

Jennifer Lawrence Is Au Naturel in New Miss Dior Ads

7 Feb

Photoshop is still working its wonders for Jennifer Lawrence: she is flawless in her new Miss Dior autumn/winter 2013 advertising campaign.

Once again snapped by fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre, the new shots feature an au naturel – albeit heavily airbrushed – Lawrence: with little makeup on her freckled face and her hair wispily swept up in low-slung bun, she wears a simple grey doubled-breasted peacoat as she models the fashion house’s signature chain-handled Miss Dior bag.

Still, Lawrence appears less touched-up in the new adverts compared to her first campaign for the French fashion house, which caught criticism for its over-the-top Photoshop-ing – her too smooth skin, her unnaturally long neck, and her Barbie-sized waistline.

Either way, J.Law is cool with whatever it takes to look perfect in print. “Of course it’s Photoshop. People don’t look like that,” she famously said of her first ads. “I love Photoshop more than anything in the world.”

JACK NICHOLSON Sends Flowers And Bottle of Cristal To JENNIFER LAWRENCE For Crashing Oscar Interview

12 Jan

JACK NICHOLSON sent flowers and a bottle of Cristal to JENNIFER LAWRENCE for crashing her Oscar interview months ago, celebrity news has learned.

What a sweet gesture!

The “Entertainer of the Year”, who was recently praised by co-star Jeremy Renner, had a pretty amusing interview at the Oscars earlier this year. You may remember that retired veteran actor Jack Nicholson bombed her interview, which resulted in a hilarious exchange of flirty comments.

We thought that Jack was kidding when he said that he’ll “be waiting” for J.Law, but it looks like he isn’t. Now months later, he sends gifts and a sweet note to the actress for their unforgettable moment.

Jennifer confessed in an interview with ABC News:

“He’s sent me flowers and a bottle of Cristal and a note that said ‘Missing you already.’ Not to brag”

She added:

“I should’ve probably kept that a secret so it could just be between me and Jack.”

Haha! How lucky of her!

Who Is The Highest Paid Actress of 2013?

29 Aug

Beyonce was right: girls do run the world.

Forbes has released their annual list of the year’s highest paid actresses and – from the looks of these paychecks – the women of Hollywood are raking it in.

Sitting pretty at No. 1 is Angelina Jolie, who earned an estimated $33 million in 2013. The publication also predicts that the 38-year-old is set for another big pay day when Maleficent – Disney’s take on Sleeping Beauty as told through the eyes of the villain – hits theaters in July 2014.

Meanwhile, last year’s top earner, Kristen Stewart, has been knocked down to the No. 33 spot, raking in only $22 million thanks to her work in last installment of the Twilight film franchise.

Who beat her out for the runner-up position?
