Lamar Odom's Dad Says He's Not Missing

Lamar Odom‘s father is coming to his son’s defense amid rumors his marriage is falling apart over his supposed drug abuse.

And reports that the basketball pro has gone missing are just simply not true.

“I spoke with my son last night,” Joe Odom told Celebuzz. “I know where he is at, he’s around.”

Any news to the contrary he adds is “a bunch of bulls**t.”

“I told him I want him to resume his basketball career and that this s**t is not good, it’s a bad look,” he said.

“I love my son.”

Over the weekend news surfaced that no one had seen Lamar for three days, including his wife Khloe Kardashian and her family.

“I heard the reports, I’m his father,” he said when asked about reports that the former L.A. Clippers star’s four-year marriage is crumbling due to his supposed drug addiction.

The constant negative attention is a reason his son has kept a lower profile, he says.

“They’re always around and it’s probably depressing him, the poor fellow. It’s terrible,” said Joe.

“That’s why I don’t want to talk to anybody because of this negative s**t… because of the bulls**t they’re saying.

“It’s probably making him depressed, that’s maybe one reason.”

Joe specifically pointed out the recent run-in with paps inside Lamar’s gated community when he allegedly destroyed a paparazzo’s camera (which the D.A. has decided not to prosecute.)

Lady-Gaga-Paparazzi-VMAs

Is Lady Gaga‘s 2009 performance of “Paparazzi” the greatest VMA performance ever? In anticipation of the 2013 MTV VMA ceremony on August 25, we want you to help us name the most iconic VMA moment ever. We’ve selected five of the most memorable performances; vote for your favorite below. Continue reading after the poll for more Gaga goodies. Return next week to vote for your favorite VMA fashion moment. Then, the week of August 12, we wil ask you to vote for your favorite VMA scandal. And now… it’s voting time!

A Few Things to Consider About Lady Gaga’s Jaw-Dropping “Paparazzi” Performance

Some context: Lady Gaga was famous well before her iconic performance of “Paparazzi” at the 2009 VMAs. “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” and “LoveGame” smashed the charts earlier that year, and everyone was all, “That Gaga chick is so crazy!” But remember, this was pre-“Bad Romance,” pre-“Telephone.” It was before the meat dress, before the massively successful world tours. So when the curtain went up, people didn’t really know what to expect.

The unsuspecting – along with everyone else – were in for a treat. When Gaga took the stage for her first-ever VMAs performance, she let everyone know that she was The One To Beat. This performance helped catapult her to a level of superstardom not seen since Britney Spears rose to fame a decade earlier. Let’s be honest: do you really remember any performance from that night? (Not counting Kanye West‘s interruption of Taylor Swift, of course.)

But it wasn’t over yet. After a fierce dance routine, Gaga was all like “Oh, you think I’m a basic pop tart? Let me play you the song of my people” and gave us a few dramatic bars on the piano – one foot up on the keys like a modern day Tori Amos.

The rest, as they say, is herstory. Gaga’s outfit began bleeding, and as she stumbled across the stage, “dying” before our very eyes, it was clear that this would be a performance to remember. And we did.

Don’t forget to vote for your favorite iconic VMA performance above. Return each day this week to vote again – and for a new feature on the other performances.

Justin Bieber’s Paparazzo Gets Off On Car Chase Charges!

Justin Bieber Paparazzo Charges Dropped

Looks like one pesky paparazzo has been let off the hook… somewhat!

Remember back in July, when Justin Bieber was involved in a cray cray car chase, down the 101 Freeway in El Lay?

Paparazzo Paul Raef was slapped with four charges for his reckless chase of the Biebs, making him the first ever charged under California’s paparazzi law, drafted up in 2010!

Now it seems Cali Superior Court Judge Thomas Rubinson has chosen to dismiss two of those misdemeanors, finding the new law “problematic” and “overly inclusive.”

While Raef walked away without a $3,500 fine and six months in jail, his charges for reckless driving and failing to obey the lawful order of a police officer still stand.

However, these charges would only lock the pap away for up to 90 days and serve him a fine of $1,000!

Hopefully he’s learned his lesson… though, we don’t think Bieby will be too happy to hear the news!
