Hollywood news has just learned that AVRIL LAVIGNE is engaged to Nickelback rocker CHARD KROEGER!
Well, that was fast, huh?
Lavigne, who split from boyfriend Brody Jenner early this year, is now engaged to Chad Kroeger-better known as the frontman of rock band Nickelback.
This will be the second marriage for the Canadian pop-punk singer, who split from first husband Deryck Whibley-frontman of punk rock band Sum 41-in 2009.
Avril and Chad‘s surprising engagement comes six months after the two got together to co-write a song for Avril‘s upcoming album. An insider close to the blonde beauty shares:
“A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together.”
According to PEOPLE, Chad proposed to Avril on August 8 with a 14-carat diamond ring.
Another source says:
“He makes her so happy… Both of their families could not be more excited.”
