‘Stand Your Ground’ Florida Boycott List Naming Rihanna, Kanye West, Jay Z Refuted

Stevie Wonder might be the only man who’s still boycotting Florida after all.

As Celebuzz previously reported, American Urban Radio Network White House correspondent April Ryan leaked a list of A-list musicians – including Rihanna, Kanye West and Madonna – allegedly boycotting the sunshine State in protest of its “Stand Your Ground” law in the wake of George Zimmerman‘s acquittal for the 2012 killing of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

On Tuesday, Ryan updated her original story saying “several representatives of the artists named who say, on behalf of their clients, they are uncomfortable being identified on that list,” refuting the claims that the named celebrities are stopping their performances in Florida.

“The list including her name was surprising,” a source close to Alicia Keys, whose name was also on the roster, told us. “We are not aware of any boycott.”

In similar fashion, listed artists Jay Z and Timberlake are still slated to perform at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium on August 13.

Celebuzz has reached out to all the named musicians for comments and is currently awaiting for replies.

Rihanna Wears Jeweled Bikini, Smokes Blunt and Boozes at Barbados Festival

Bikinis, booze and blunts – it’s all in a day for Rihanna.

The singer wrapped a wild weekend celebrating her native Barbardos at its annual Crop Over festival with one final hurrah on Monday. Barely covered up in a jeweled bikini costume, Rihanna took to the streets of the island’s capital Bridgetown for the traditional Grand Kadooment Day, Barbardos’ version of Carnival where bands bump Barbadian rhythms and fireworks light up the sky.

After making the pilgrimage back to her homeland for Crop Over on Friday, Rihanna wasted no time, diving into festivities with the Foreday Morning Jam event, where she partied with her gal pals until the wee hours of Saturday morning. Wearing a white monokini with silver panels, Rihanna twerked in the streets, tossed back drinks and lit up some Mary Jane – all caught on camera by her friend.

The night made for a rough morning:

It’s clear Rihanna’s motto is work hard, party harder.

RIHANNA has finally debuted her much-awaited music video for “Pour It Up”… and in true RiRi fashion, it’s very, very raunchy.

After posting a series of racy behind-the-scenes pics from the video shoot, Rihanna finally unveiled the music video for “Pour It Up” earlier today-and it features a lot of strippers, wads of cash, and of course close-up shots of the singer’s butt as she jiggles it for the cameras.

In the racy clip, the Barbadian superstar flaunts her bod in a series of revealing, stripper-esque outfits-such as a a diamond-encrusted bra and thong shorts, a skintight monokini, and bondage-style, fishnet body stockings-while sitting on a gold throne, throwing money in the air, shaking her fully exposed behind, and dancing around a stripper pole.

Rihanna, Jay Z, Kanye West Join Stevie Wonder’s Florida Boycott Following George Zimmerman Verdict: Report

Performers such as Rihanna, Jay-Z Jay Z, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Madonna have reportedly decided to follow Stevie Wonder’s footsteps in boycotting Florida in protest of the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law. April Ryan of American Urban Radio Network first broke the news, crediting “a source close to Wonder” for leaking a list of A-listers who’ve vowed to not perform at the Sunshine State in the wake of George Zimmerman‘s acquittal for the 2012 killing of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

Wonder earlier announced his intention to boycott any state with “Stand Your Ground” laws after a jury found Zimmerman – who police did not arrest weeks after the killing due to the law – not guilty of second-degree murder. The “Stand Your Ground” defense also appeared in instructions to jurors during the trial.

“I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,” Wonder said during a concert in Canada earlier this month. “As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”

According to Ryan, other notable celebs on the boycott list include Usher, Alicia Keys, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart and will.i.am.

Jay Z and his wife, Beyonce, also showed their support for Martin, appearing at a recent rally in New York City to support the slain teenager’s family.
