Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron are apparently the latest names being linked to J.J. Abrams’ much-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII, according to a new report from Latino Review.
The report itself is a little vague; Gosling – who earlier this year announced plans to take a break from acting – reportedly went in to talk about playing Luke Skywalker’s son (!), while Efron’s connection to the project is completely unknown beyond maybe the fact that it’s all being handled by Disney. (The report also says that Leonardo DiCaprio had a meeting about the movie, as well, but passed to work on an equally nerdy-sounding project called Robotech.)
Either way, the report says that Disney might make some sort of casting announcement at its annual D23 Expo next month.
UPDATE: Just kidding! The rumor isn’t true – at least the part about Ryan Gosling, anyway.
